Mrs. Pakprapai Kumbunlue, Deputy Consul-General and Acting Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, presided over the unveiling ceremony of the replica Thai Elephant Sculptures at Hojikai Comprehensive Health Care Center on 1 March 2026.

The sculptures were previously displayed at the Thailand Pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, under the Expo theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Their installation at the Center represents a meaningful continuation of the Expo’s as well as Thai Pavilion’s spirit, emphasizing sustainability, inclusivity, and holistic well-being.

As Thailand’s national symbol, the elephant represents strength, wisdom, longevity, and prosperity. Now situated within a comprehensive health care institution, the sculptures reflect shared values between Thailand and Japan in promoting human-centered development and quality of life.
